My Cub cadet 1440 with a 14 hp Briggs and straton is having as problem turning off. After you turn the key it will keep running strong, Not dieseling. I think it might be electrical. Any help would be great, Thanks

I don't know if the ignition system is a battery/coil/breaker type. If it is, I think most systems have a battery contact on the coil. The contacts shouldn't have any voltage when the switch is off. If voltage is present, the most likely problem is the ignition switch. Switch problems tend to be intermittent, so it's a good idea to wiggle the switch while taking the readings. ....

unless the diode's under the flywheel are burned out from welding on the frame it has to be the ignition switch. ....
